Aecs Maaruti College Of Nursing, Bangalore was started in 2002 by Amrith Educational And Cultural Society. The college has B.Sc (nursing), M.sc (nursing) in Community nursing, Medsurgical Nursing, Childcare nursing, Obstetrics & Gynaecological nursing & Psychiatric nursing. The college has added another feather to it’s cap in the year 2022 by becoming the P.H.D study centre in Medsurgical nursing for Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The Society also has AECS MAARUTI SCHOOL OF NURSING (GNM).
This college was started with the objective of training the students to become competent nurses for first level positions in nursing, to provide quality care in hospitals and to community and thereby contributing to health care of our nation. The college has the permission from Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing council, New Delhi.
The college is equipped with all labs as per the requirement of Indian Nursing Council such as, Fundamentals of Nursing Lab, Pediatric Lab, Midwifery Lab, Nutrition Lab, Computer Lab, Community health Lab, Anatomy Lab, Psychiatry Lab, Counseling Room, A.V. Aids Lab & a Departmental Library which has a very vast collection of reference books and journals. Online Journals are available through Helinet. Hostel facilities with modern amenities along with South Indian, North Indian and Continental foods are available to our student on the campus. The atmosphere in the college is very congenial for professional growth.

Campus Facilities
Hostel
The college has excellent hostel facilities for our students with common study areas. The rooms are well
furnished and spacious. Here you can live and built lasting friendship with like-minded students as well as learn
to face the real world by yourself. It is not compulsory for students to stay in the hostel. Hostel has it’s own
indoor games facility. They are provided with well maintained dining rooms with independent kitchen and
hygienic cooking facilities and safe drinking water. They have the required levels of security monitored round
the clock by CCTV cameras. The hostel facility is very and ideal for pursuing academic goals.
Food
Hostel facilities with modern amenities like South Indian, North Indian and Continental foods are available to our student on the campus.
Library
The college of Nursing has a spacious library with professional books, Journals and periodicals, reference
books, volumes of old journals and periodicals, access to Helinet Surfing, news papers and magazines which
are easily accessible for new faculty and students. There is a separate library for Juniors and Senior library for
exam going students and post graduate students.

The college has Computer Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Microbiology and Biochemistry Lab, Nutrition Lab, Fundamental Lab, MCH Lab, Pediatric Lab ,Community Lab, A.V.Aids Lab with state of art equipments.
Computer Lab
We are living in the electronic age. As health care is an area that has been greatly influenced by the
information technology, it is imperative that nurses should be well acquainted with computers and their use in
the care of patients. It also enhances provision for internet access which keeps update with the changes and
challenges in their professional and personal avenue. Facilities are available for students to browse information
on the web during their project works, case studies, seminars and other presentations.
Transportation
Our college has various buses to transport students to their areas of clinical postings – PHC, Anganawadis,
General & Super speciality Hospitals, Village Camps, etc.
Sewage Treatment Plant
Our college has it’s own Sewage Treatment Plant & thereby maintains a high level of social responsibility.
Solar Energy
Our college uses large amounts of Solar Energy in addition to the local electric supply.
Rainwater Harvesting
We believe in conserving natural resources and maintaining ground water levels. All the rain water in our
campus goes underground via rainwater harvesting pits with various levels of filters.
Microbiology Lab
Microbiology lab has adequate number of different types of microscopes, slides and other equipments to facilitate learning.
Biochemistry Lab
The Biochemistry laboratory offers an opportunity to learn with best of automated instrumentation.
Fundamental lab
Fundamental Lab is well equipped as per norms and requirements of Indian Nursing Council. The laboratory is equipped with a chase doll, patient simulator, cardiopulmonary resuscitation mannequin and hand simulator in addition to the facilities in an ideal ward situation.
MCH Lab
MCH lab is designed for students to appreciate the concepts and principles of obstetric nursing. The MCH lab is equipped and furnished with birthing simulators, obstetric manikins, infant manikins, real objects and models of all kinds.
Community Health Lab
The Community Health Lab is well equipped with community bags, charts, flash cards and models etc., for the purpose of Community field visits and mass health education programme. The college provides both urban and rural community health nursing field experience for the students. The urban center is attached to Gottigere . The rural center is at Jigani that is within a distance of 5 km from the college.
Pediatric Lab
Child health laboratory is equipped with bed cradle, child dummy, instruments, toys & play materials for the various age groups of children.
Audio Visual Aids
One of the best methods of teaching and learning is with the help of audio visual aids. The college has the
latest audio visual aids such as LCD projector, Computers, DVD player, CD player, T.V, Public address system,
Camera, Printed materials and pamphlets and leaflets, Over head projectors, Slide projectors, tape recorders
audio video tapes, CDs, models, charts, manikins and real objects.
Canteen/Cafeteria
The college has a canteen where the students can take a break from the rigorous schedule of daily classes. The canteen provides excellent food at subsidized rates, giving you great value for money.
Departments
The theory cum discussion classes are followed by demonstrations in various laboratories to bring about the required skills in the students. These are strengthened by various activities like projects, preparing models and charts, surveys, reading assignments, educational visits etc. which are interesting and unique each time.Community Health Nursing
Community Health Nursing deals with the health care rendered to the community in which community bag becomes a necessity which is explained by the teacher. This Lab is having the articles for health teaching, Antenatal Care, Family Planning, Hygienic living etc along with the Midwifery kits.
Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG) Nursing
Life begins here. The midwifery lab is the place where the students are trained to give ante, intra and postnatal care to the needy. The dummies, Specimens, various instruments, charts, models etc are used in the training.

Anatomy Lab
Anatomy lab is designed for the exploration and dissection of various structures. The laboratory has a collection of human skeleton, specimens of different parts of the body, models, dummies, simulations, audio video CDs and chartsModels of all organs of the body like the Brain, Heart, Eye, Ear, Lungs, Kidney, the torso and the skeletal system are exhibited in the Anatomy Lab where the students are acquainted with the body parts and made to understand their structures.

Nutrition lab is well furnished and equipped with cooking facilities where students learn preparation of various
therapeutic and normal diets and therefore educate women in rural areas and patients in hospital about the
importance of nutritious and balanced food, importance of food prepared freshly at home, cooking in right
manner without loss of nutrients in food.
The Nutrition Lab is where the students get experience in preparing balanced diet and special diets like fluid
diet, semisolid diet, diabetic diet, bland diet, diet for kidney and heart patients. Equipments like gas stoves,
mixie cum grinder, fridge, knives, spoons, plates, jars, ladles, trays are available for training purposes. We also
hold cooking competitions in which students are encouraged to cook nutritious and tasty foods.
Fundamental Lab
Fundamental Lab is well equipped as per norms and requirements of Indian Nursing Council. The laboratory is equipped with a chase doll, patient simulator, cardiopulmonary resuscitation mannequin and hand simulator in addition to the facilities in an ideal ward situation. Advanced Skill Lab
The feather in the cap in achieving a big milestone in nursing education is establishment of Advanced Skills Lab exclusively for students of AECS Maaruti College of Nursing. The best of educative models, manikins are in place for hands on training in Paediatric Skills, Gynaecological Skills, Operation Theatre Skills, Intubation and other emergency management skills, Obstetric Skills, Patient examination skills can be developed to perfection with enhancement of Psychomotor Skills of the students. This state of art simulation centre helps the student to improve individual skills and also to achieve perfect co-ordination skills during team work. Students learn perfect nursing surgical and medical practices in words and operation theatre before they work in hospitals. This training is in line with the upgraded Nursing syllabus.

The First Wealth Is Health
Nutrition Demonstration Programme Was organised by 1st Year B.Sc.Nursing & GNM students Of AECS Maaruti College of Nursing On 27th,28th & 29th October 2022. Students learnt the nutritive value of foods & how to give patient the right combination of food according to their health conditions, by practically experimenting and creating new recipes in our Specialised Nutrition Lab.

Most major banks provide educational loans for students studying at A.E.C.S. Group of Institutions. On payment of the 1st year fees to the college, the student will on request be issued a Bonafide Certificate with estimated expenditure, which you may present to your bank, for availing the loan facility from your bank. Education loan is available to candidates, subject to the terms and conditions .Bank’s decision though is final.
Campus Facilities
Hostel
The college has excellent hostel facilities for our students with common study areas. The rooms are well
furnished and spacious. Here you can live and built lasting friendship with like-minded students as well as learn
to face the real world by yourself. It is not compulsory for students to stay in the hostel. Hostel has it’s own
indoor games facility. They are provided with well maintained dining rooms with independent kitchen and
hygienic cooking facilities and safe drinking water. They have the required levels of security monitored round
the clock by CCTV cameras. The hostel facility is very ideal for pursuing academic goals.
Food
Hostel facilities with modern amenities and South Indian, North Indian and Continental foods are available to our students on the campus.
Library
The college of Nursing has a spacious library with professional books, Journals and periodicals, reference
books, volumes of old journals and periodicals, access to Helinet Surfing, news papers and magazines which
are easily accessible for new faculty and students. There is a separate library for Juniors and Senior library for exam going students and post graduate students.
Laboratory
The college has Computer Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Microbiology and Biochemistry Lab, Nutrition Lab, Fundamental Lab, MCH Lab, Pediatric Lab ,Community Lab, A.V.Aids Lab with state of art equipments.
Computer Lab
We are living in the electronic age. As health care is an area that has been greatly influenced by the
information technology, it is imperative that nurses should be well acquainted with computers and their use in
the care of patients. It also enhances provision for internet access which keeps update with the changes and
challenges in their professional and personal avenue. Facilities are available for students to browse information
on the web during their project works, case studies, seminars and other presentations.
Transportation
Our college has various buses to transport students to their areas of clinical postings – PHC, Anganawadis,
General & Super speciality Hospitals, Village Camps, etc.
Sewage Treatment Plant
Our college has it’s own Sewage Treatment Plant & thereby maintains a high level of social responsibility.
Solar Energy
Our college uses large amounts of Solar Energy in addition to the local electric supply.
Rainwater Harvesting
We believe in conserving natural resources and maintaining ground water levels. All the rain water in our campus goes underground via rainwater harvesting pits with various levels of filters.

Our college is a home away from home for our students. Managements, Wardens, Principal, Heads of all Departments, Professors, Senior lecturers, all step in as counsellors and mentors to all the students and counsel them for all personal, academic related problems.
Career guidance and placement of students is also done in various branches of super speciality and other multi speciality hospitals depending on the vacancies available and student’s capability and aptitude.
Audio Visual Aids
One of the best methods of teaching and learning is with the help of audio visual aids. The college has the
latest audio visual aids such as LCD projector, Computers, DVD player, CD player, T.V, Public address system,
Camera, Printed materials and pamphlets and leaflets, Over head projectors, Slide projectors, tape recorders
audio video tapes, CDs, models, charts, manikins and real objects.
Canteen/Cafeteria
The college has a canteen where the students can take a break from the rigorous schedule of daily classes. The canteen provides excellent food at subsidized rates, giving you great value for money.
Sports
Our students are encouraged to work out in the house gym, play indoor and outdoor games, yoga and participate in sports competitions of the college and inter college competitions too.

Departments
The theory cum discussion classes are followed by demonstrations in various laboratories to bring about the required skills in the students. These are strengthened by various activities like projects, preparing models and charts, surveys, reading assignments, educational visits etc. which are interesting and unique each time.
Community Health Nursing
Community Health Nursing deals with the health care rendered to the community in which community bag becomes a necessity which is explained by the teacher. This Lab is having the articles for health teaching, Antenatal Care, Family Planning, Hygienic living etc along with the Midwifery kits.
Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG) Nursing
Life begins here. The midwifery lab is the place where the students are trained to give ante, intra and postnatal care to the needy. The dummies, Specimens, various instruments, charts, models etc are used in the training.
Psychiatric Nursing
The Psychiatric department members deal with the distress activities along with training the students in Mental status examination, process recording & various psychiatric therapies.
Medical Surgical Nursing
Medical Surgical Lab is spacious and is well equipped with four dummies, a CPR dummy, sufficient linen, all surgical equipments, cardiac table, IV stands and all articles related to Nursing procedures.
Pediatric Nursing
Pediatric Lab is having pediatric cots, cradles, pediatric CPR dummy, all equipments for pediatric procedures, baby walkers etc for carrying out procedures.
Anatomy Lab
Anatomy lab is designed for the exploration and dissection of various structures. The laboratory has a collection of human skeleton, specimens of different parts of the body, models, dummies, simulations, audio video CDs and charts Models of all organs of the body like the Brain, Heart, Eye, Ear, Lungs, Kidney, the torso and the skeletal system are exhibited in the Anatomy Lab where the students are acquainted with the body parts and made to understand their structures.
Nutrition Lab
“You become what you eat”.
Nutrition lab is well furnished and equipped with cooking facilities where students learn preparation of various
therapeutic and normal diets and therefore educate women in rural areas and patients in hospital about the
importance of nutritious and balanced food, importance of food prepared freshly at home, cooking in right
manner without loss of nutrients in food.
The Nutrition Lab is where the students get experience in preparing balanced diet and special diets like fluid
diet, semisolid diet, diabetic diet, bland diet, diet for kidney and heart patients. Equipments like gas stoves,
mixie cum grinder, fridge, knives, spoons, plates, jars, ladles, trays are available for training purposes. We also
hold cooking competitions in which students are encouraged to cook nutritious and tasty foods.
Fundamental Lab
Fundamental Lab is well equipped as per norms and requirements of Indian Nursing Council. The laboratory is equipped with a chase doll, patient simulator, cardiopulmonary resuscitation mannequin and hand simulator in addition to the facilities in an ideal ward situation.
Advanced Skill Lab
The feather in the cap in achieving a big milestone in nursing education is establishment of Advanced Skills Lab
exclusively for students of AECS Maaruti College of Nursing.
The best of educative models, manikins are place hands on training in Paediatric Skills, Gynaecological
Skills, Operation Theatre Skills, Intubation and other emergency management skills, Obstetric Skills, Patient
examination skills can be developed to perfection with enhancement of Psychomotor Skills of the students. This
state of art simulation centre helps the student to improve individual skills and also to achieve perfect
co-ordination skills during team work.
Students learn perfect nursing surgical and medical practices in words and operation theatre before they work in
hospitals. This training is in line with the upgraded Nursing syllabus.

AECS Maaruti College of Nursing prides in inspiring all it’s students to keep themselves updated with latest
information in all fields of nursing. In line with this policy regular seminars, workshops, guest lectures are
conducted by eminent clinically practising nurses, doctors and other allied personnel like experts in medical
technology, allied health sciences, etc. These eminent personalities give their valuable inputs in their fields of specialities and students are encouraged to ask questions and enhance their knowledge.
The First Wealth Is Health
Nutrition Demonstration Programme Was organised by 1st Year B.Sc.Nursing & GNM students Of AECS Maaruti College of Nursing On 27th,28th & 29th October 2022. Students learnt the nutritive value of foods & how to give patient the right combination of food according to their health conditions, by practically experimenting and creating new recipes in our Specialised Nutrition Lab.
